Flagler Sheriff’s Office Patrol the Lehigh Trail

I have been riding the Lehigh Trail since we moved here in 2015.  It is a great ride, a total of 13.8 miles back and forth and only rises a total of 62ft.

However, today I met two volunteers that ride the trail for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.  Angela and Joe Camit are members of the Community Observer Patrol, better known as C.O.P.

 

To be sure, I have never had a problem on the trail, excluding nearly running over a few snakes.  Still, it is nice to see a law enforcement presence in these times where I ride nearly every day.

 

Angela and Joe are a husband and wife team that patrol together.  I did not want to take them away from their duties to interview them, but Angela did volunteer that it was OK to take their picture and post it on the Flagler Legionnaire.
